"I voted in favour of the report on the amendment of Council Regulation (EC) No 428/2009 setting up a Community regime for the control of exports, transfer, brokering and transit of dual-use items. Its aim is to oblige the Commission and Member-States to establish a secure system for collection, transmission and storage of notifications and to oblige the Commission to inform the European Parliament regarding the system’s functioning. I believe that it is crucial to oblige the Commission to present a report on the implementation and application of the regulation, in addition to providing a thorough assessment of its impact."@en1
