This is an issue where the debate on different points of view and reform proposals can and should be open, so as to ensure that the desires of the people are expressed. Included in this discussion are proposals that substantially modify the content of the Treaty of Lisbon, as is the case with creating European lists of candidates and increasing the number of Members of Parliament.
