As such, on 7 October 2009, a Special Committee on the Financial, Economic and Social Crisis was created. However, as will be clear to everyone, the causes of the recent financial crisis still have not been overcome, nor has the restructuring of the EU response system for dealing with any situations that might arise been initiated.
