lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of adoption of the European Parliament resolution on preparation of the Commission Work Programme for 2012. As a member of the Committee on Culture and Education, and as the initiator of the written declaration on increased European Union support for grassroots sports which was adopted by the European Parliament, I call on the Commission to ensure the provision of appropriate financial resources for local and amateur sport. The year 2012 has been declared European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations. I am counting on numerous initiatives from the Commission to help older people find work and to support them in the labour market. In Poland, only 28% of people over the age of 50 are in work. This is the worst figure in the European Union. I appeal, too, for an EU directive on the prevention of violence against women and for efficient action to renew work on the directive on non-discrimination."@en1
