"I have voted against the creation of the new EU tool which would create a harmonised system of data protection legislation. It represents yet another approach towards creation of one-size-fits-all EU-wide legislation. I cannot support any calls to harmonise Member States’ legislation, especially in the area of the protection of the citizens, when each country should have sovereignty over all of the competences involved."@en1
