". −
I am pleased that the majority of Members were not in favour of the unrealistic, tougher objectives. Parliament has opposed the unilateral raising of the EU target by a clear majority. The fact that this ultimately resulted in the entire report being rejected is not a major problem. The discussion will be reopened. No studies have yet been carried out to determine how and under what conditions it would be possible to achieve a 30% target. We have also not yet made it clear how we will be able to meet our existing commitments and whether our emissions trading system really functions effectively. I also do not regard the imminent increase in the energy efficiency targets as realistic."@en1
