lpv:translated text	". I have voted in favour of the report by Mrs Corazza Bildt about a more efficient and fairer retail market. The retail sector employs 20 million people in the EU, accounts for 4.2% of the EU’s GDP and represents around 20% of Europe’s small and medium-sized enterprises. Unfortunately the number of national barriers which have a negative impact on the free movement of goods and services is continuing to increase. The report calls on the Member States to make these basic freedoms available throughout the entire European Union on the basis of fair, balanced and transparent trading relationships. In addition, they must invest in innovative solutions for transport, logistics, energy efficiency, packaging and waste disposal in order to give the retail sector access to high-quality products."@en1
