The European institutions in general, and the European Parliament in particular, need to restore confidence among the citizens. How can that be achieved? Firstly, not with Europe or more money for Europe, but with a Europe, a Europe with an added value, and Europe should not interfere with matters, such as sport or tourism, which Member States can deal with perfectly well on their own. Secondly, commit the cohesion fund to the genuinely poor regions in Europe. We still have fifty percent going to rich Member States, such as Germany and France. This is unacceptable.
