".
I defend the privileges and immunity of Bruno Gollnisch and I think that the persecution he is being subjected to is of a purely political nature. His immunity must be defended so that he can continue to carry out his duties as a fully-fledged Member of the European Parliament. In such cases, a vote is taken on defending an MEP’s immunity during a part-session (naturally when he or she belongs to a large political group), which leads me to think that double standards are occasionally applied in the European Parliament, thereby sweeping away confidence in the entire institution."@en1
