lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of this resolution on dual-use items and technology, meaning goods which can be used for both civil and military purposes. Controlling the export of dual-use goods is a key for the non-proliferation of arms, including weapons of mass destruction (WMD). It is therefore very important to ensure that the EU's Dual-Use Regime becomes more democratic and transparent, while at the same time ensuring that it is sufficiently strict. Currently, the requirements applied for the export of dual-use items and technology vary in stringency. I believe that the EU should aim to apply the strictest export regimes on every item, and this should be applicable to all of its Member States. The Commission must establish an effective system in this area, which would facilitate the collection of credible data on the end use of the dual-use items exported from the Union."@en1
