All of the information presented for this option and which formed the basis for my own decision indicates that the criteria set out in Article 283(2) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union have been met, and show that there is a need for the ECB to be fully independent, in accordance with Article 130 of that treaty, and I therefore welcome the appointment of Mr Praet."@en1
