"I voted in favour of this report because I believe that the inclusion of the Roma does not just have to do with moral imperatives or the European Union’s human rights obligations. A number of studies prove that the exclusion of these European citizens has socio-economic costs for the Member States. The social inclusion of the Roma is a necessary investment, and will be of financial benefit in the long term."@en1
