"Ever since Montenegro officially became a candidate country for accession to the European Union on 17 December 2010, the country’s government has immediately given priority to reforms that can accelerate the European integration process. There are still some problems to resolve, such as electoral reform, and reform of the public administration and the legal system, but the report makes it clear that Montenegro is making progress. Italy fully supports the European aspirations of this country, since it believes that the accession of Montenegro and the Western Balkans meets a basic interest of the EU in that it promotes stability, regional cooperation and development in a crucial geographical area for our continent."@en1
