"I voted in favour of adopting this report, which lays down guidelines for the 2012 budget procedure: a general framework and budgetary priorities for the functioning of the European institutions (except the European Commission). Our report supports, in particular, the reduction in the European Parliament’s budget in view of the Member States’ economic, financial and social situation, and I welcome that. My final point is that I resolutely opposed the amendments attacking the European Parliament’s seat in Strasbourg, and I am glad that they were rejected by the majority of the European Parliament."@en1
