As these producers are not always subject to the same environmental, health and GMO regulatory constraints as European producers, the European Union has decided to review its policy regarding proteins and to increase internal production of protein crops. This would allow European consumers to benefit from food which is healthier and more varied. That is why I voted in favour of this report."@en1
