lpv:translated text	"I did not vote in favour of this report on agriculture and international trade since it hinges on the central element of EU trade policy: free trade agreements. It is true that there are positive points in the report which deserve special treatment, such as the singling out of the outermost regions in order to guarantee their food sovereignty. Despite that, this report endorses the active promotion of EU agricultural interests without taking into account the imbalances with its trading partners and the commitment to free trade areas without accounting for the harmful impact on the people in those regions. Furthermore, the report explicitly threatens Argentina with sanctions for implementing protectionist measures. For these reasons, I abstained."@en1
