lpv:translated text	"I believe the resolution on evaluation of the management of H1N1 influenza in 2009-2010 in the EU clearly reveals the mistakes made and, at the same time, lays the foundations for fresh, effective management of influenza pandemics. It is well known that the reaction to the spread of H1N1 influenza was exaggerated in comparison to the real scale of the problem. Precisely for that reason, I believe that Europe’s influenza pandemic prevention plans need to be reviewed in order to provide rapid, consistent and effective responses. In that respect, it is essential, in my view, to strengthen cooperation and coordination among the Member States in order to arrive at a truly European strategic approach to the problem. Furthermore, I believe it would be useful, as mentioned in the text of the resolution, for independent scientific experts not linked to the pharmaceutical industry by any kind of interest to be involved in that process, alongside operators from the pharmaceutical sector."@en1
