"Mr President, please note, I can argue with you why it is that Europe has not had a response to its immigration problems. I would say, principally, that it is because it has been looking for a policing response to a problem which is social, economic and political.
However, the question I wish to ask you relates to the question that was asked by my colleague, Mr Tavares. Is it acceptable, in your opinion, that Frontex or other operational methods can repatriate Tunisians when the laws of Tunisia still state that people who are repatriated will go to prison? Alternatively, in the first place, is it necessary to guarantee some kind of diplomatic action to ensure that this law becomes null and void, in order that we may subsequently talk about other types of instruments such as those which I have just mentioned?"@en1
