I support the intention behind this Treaty change. Like others, I am concerned about the mechanism. But the simplified procedure provides that all national parliaments, all 27 national parliaments, must acquiesce at least in the adoption of this Treaty change. National parliaments are given six months to decide what they may do. We are talking about adopting a decision in March, a Council decision that was made in December. How can that possibly be the case? Surely they have to wait until June to make that decision?"@en1
