"I voted in favour of this report, as I believe that the implementation of the Services Directive by Member States has so far been partial and limited. Despite this directive being one of the most important European laws, with the aim of opening up the services sector to free movement within the European Union, there is still a long way to go. There is a need to guarantee that this legislation, approved more than three years ago, is correctly implemented, particularly with regard to the effective creation of ‘points of contact’, which any citizen seeking to sell services in another country can use to obtain the necessary information."@en1
