What interests me especially is how smaller enterprises have fared. To its credit, the report does refer to SMEs, their needs and their special circumstances. It makes no deep analysis, however, of what the Services Directive has ultimately done for enterprises of different sizes and different sectors. I would like to have much more precise information on this. There is no information, for example, on the extent to which small and medium­sized enterprises have increased their cross­border activities. As smaller businesses have had all the obligations of the Services Directive thrust upon them anyway, it would be good to know how they, in particular, have benefited from the directive."@en1
