As the Chair of this Parliament’s Working Group on Innovation, Access to Medicine and Poverty-related Diseases, I think it is vital to focus our efforts on research and innovation if we are to meet the Millennium Development Goals. Global TB levels are still unacceptably high and I welcome new means of funding the Tuberculosis Vaccine Initiative for a large-scale vaccination campaign."@en1
