It is alarming that the EU has been caught by surprise when massive popular demonstrations against the previous authoritarian regime started. May these events remind us that stability of economic and political relations with our partners can be based only upon genuine democracy and full exercise of civil rights. I call on the High Representative to promote the establishment of a task force to assist Tunisia in its progress towards democracy."@en1
