We cannot forget the legislative role of Parliament, as enshrined in the Treaty of Lisbon, but it seems to have been overlooked by the Council. This intransigence is blocking a series of legislative processes, and is doing nothing to benefit the EU. Cooperation with industrialised countries is of enormous importance for the EU economy.
