The Commission has some responsibility to present what it believes to be the right way forward for the euro area and for the Union and so, in a very comprehensive document regarding the annual growth survey, we expressed our opinion. I think we had not only the right but also the duty to do that. So that is what we did, and I think it was extremely well received by the markets, as we have seen in recent days, because they understood that now there was a real willingness to move in a decisive way on all aspects of a comprehensive response, including on the EFSF. The market analysis is unanimous on the need to do more on that matter. This is not just the Commission’s opinion; it is also the opinion of the European Central Bank, and it was expressed in extremely clear terms. I hope that the Member States will come to an agreement on the basis of the Commission’s position."@en1
