lpv:translated text	"Mr President, I believe it would be extremely worthwhile for the EU to start an inter-faith dialogue from the highest level. I would like to see the EU attempt to get Turkey to host such a dialogue. We all know how Christians are treated throughout the world – in various different places in the Middle East, the Copts in Egypt, Christian Iraqis in Iraq and so on. It is my firm view that we cannot simply report on this and hear about it and watch it happening; we must do something tangible. The first thing we need to do as far as I can see is to establish a dialogue. It would be very worthwhile if Turkey, with the bridge-building spirit that I believe exists there, in spite of everything, was able to host this type of dialogue. This is about Jews, Christians and Muslims. Let us establish a broad inter-faith dialogue under the auspices of the EU."@en1
