"Mr President, the special commission investigating the cause of the crash of a Polish aircraft near the Russian town of Smolensk on 10 April last year has published the conclusions of its report in Moscow. In the disaster, the President of Poland was killed, along with 96 other passengers, including many of the most important people in the country. The report is absolutely scandalous. It contains numerous lies, and clearly shifts responsibility for the disaster onto the Polish side, completely ignoring the serious errors made on the Russian side, such as the improper way in which the flight controllers in the Smolensk control tower guided the aircraft during its descent. In the report, the Russian side has not taken account of a great many of Poland’s comments – 20 pages of comments have simply been ignored. This is a most unsatisfactory state of affairs, and the European Union should look into it."@en1
