lpv:spoken text	"I welcome the adoption of this report in my capacity as the Chairman of the European Parliament delegation for relations with Switzerland. The European Commission, the European Parliament and the Member States of the European Union agreed to establish the ‘Youth in Action’ programme, which puts into effect the legal framework to support non-formal learning activities for young people. The aim of this proposal is to provide for the participation of Switzerland in the Youth in Action and Lifelong Learning programmes. Switzerland is the only European country to take part in these programmes without being a member of the EEA, a candidate or a potential candidate country. Although it has chosen not to join the European Economic Area, Switzerland has shown sustained interest in closer cooperation with the EU in the education, training and youth fields."@en1
