"I support this resolution as I believe that it is fundamental that victims of violence should benefit from measures to prevent crime and from protection throughout the European Union. In other words, this protection should not be restricted to a single Member State but should allow the individual to reside or remain in other EU countries. This measure should be applied to victims of human trafficking, female genital mutilation, forced marriages, honour killings, incest, gender violence, witnesses and victims of terrorism and organised crime. To achieve this, it will be necessary to overcome the fact that the legal systems of the Member States are different."@en1
