We must understand that. You could easily say that the UK, the Netherlands, even my own Member State, Sweden, would gain from a cut in the EU budget. But look at those Member States who are really having problems now. Look at Greece, Portugal and Ireland. They would lose if the EU budget were cut because it actually makes a contribution to their economies – not least via the Structural Funds and other parts of the budget as well – so I do not think that is a fair way to act."@en1
