lpv:spoken text	"Although I agreed with the majority of the Gomes report, I have voted against it as it focuses too much on the EU coordinating civil-military cooperation. Military competences should remain with the Member States and not with the EU and the Commission. I have no problem with Member States cooperating on an equal level in the case of a CBRN event – and in the case of an environmental disaster resulting from such an incident, it is crucial – but I do have a huge problem with this report potentially opening the door for militarisation of the EU."@en1
