lpv:translated text	"Madam President, presentation of the results of the European Court of Auditors’ work always gives superb information which enables a comparison of what things were like in the past with what should be done in the future. What can the general conclusion be? It seems to be the case that wherever procedures are less complicated and it is easier to use money, we find fewer material errors. The more complicated the policy, the more the significance of errors, and sometimes also of irregularities, rises. One such example is cohesion policy, which is also very important for the European Union. This is why it has also been concluded, here, that the Union’s agricultural policy has a high error rate, but where procedures for the use of funds have been simplified, there are fewer errors than where it is more complicated. I would like to draw attention to the significance of cooperation with national supervisory bodies, but also – and this has not been spoken about – the significance of cooperation with national parliaments and, in particular, with committees for European affairs, budgets and budgetary control. I personally was a member of the Polish national parliament at the time when we started working with information from the European Court of Auditors, and it was very well received by the members."@en1
