The macro-financial assistance programme is also vital for improving the financial stability of European nations that have struggled through the recent global crisis and have suffered from its effects on their main trading partners. The financial imbalances relate to budgets and the balance of payments. This aid is important in order for Moldova to tackle the crisis in the most coherent way.
