"I voted for this report because it pinpoints the importance of examining EU social integration policies for women belonging to ethnic minority groups and of identifying areas where it works and areas where trying to define solutions is problematic.
We live in a multicultural society made up of various cultural, ethnic and religious communities. To that end, it is appropriate that integration policies for third-country nationals include a broader sex-specific perspective, which is necessary to ensure that the specific needs of women belonging to ethnic minority groups are taken into consideration.
A targeted approach to the social inclusion of women belonging to ethnic minority groups is necessary to avoid multiple discrimination, stereotypes, stigmatisation and ethnic segregation."@en1
