"Two miraculous little words have become established in our society. The phrase ‘politically correct’ is closely connected with freedom of expression. It is a sign of a certain kind of self-regulation in the expression of opinions. It applies not only to journalists but also to politicians, artists and even ordinary citizens.
In our society, ‘politically correct’ does not mean respecting the opinion of the other person, but sharing the majority opinion. This is a great danger for our democracy and our culture.
One more comment: I believe in respecting freedom of expression, but freedom of expression does mean spreading misinformation, lies and defamatory statements, as often happens. I have personal experience of this. Citizens have the right not only to information, but to information that is true."@en1
