lpv:translated text	"I support this proposal on providing macro-financial assistance to the Republic of Moldova. Moldova is one of the Eastern Partnership countries most heavily affected by the global crisis with dramatically declining output, a deteriorating fiscal position and rising external financing needs. Thus, I believe that, if provided in time, the assistance will help the country address the consequences of the financial crisis more quickly and effectively and will alleviate its balance of payments and budgetary needs. The conditions will also be created to strengthen the reforms being implemented in the country, by supporting the government's economic stabilisation programme and its efforts towards integration with the EU. However, in order to ensure the effectiveness and transparency of the assistance provided, it is necessary to strengthen the supervision and control role of the European Commission in this area."@en1
