In fact, over the last week, some banks and institutions have attempted to derail and undermine the proposals that we will be voting on tomorrow. It is why enforcement is vital, it is why national regulators must have the backbone to enforce this legislation and it is why tomorrow, Members will have to give a strong vote and a strong signal to banks and the public that we do intend to reform and, indeed, transform the discredited bonus culture in the long term. I believe, colleagues, that it is the beginning of the process, not the end. Therefore, I urge colleagues to give a strong vote to this report in the plenary tomorrow."@en1
