Given its cross-border nature, the activity of players’ agents is the subject of national regulations that are diverse and often flawed. It therefore justifies the adoption of a coherent EU-wide policy in order to avoid loopholes due to unclear regulation and to ensure proper monitoring and control of the agents’ activities.
