"In my opinion, the ever increasing requirements for food labelling will not do much to change eating habits in comparison with the cost of implementing these measures. Neither will it eliminate the main problem, which is the incidence of obesity and obesity-related diseases in the population at large, directly resulting from the imbalance between energy input and output, in connection with the lack of physical exercise. My grandmother used to say: ‘Eat until half full, drink until half drunk, and you will live many years.’ I apologise for the simplification, but it does express my views on this proposal. I have abstained from the vote."@en1
