Our budget deficit is small and our public sector debt is one of the lowest in Europe. The government has made cuts wherever it can. The result – approval at European Union level – is well-deserved. However, I also voted for the report in order to thank and praise our people, the Estonian population. No strikes, no revolts, not even any griping, while tolerating high unemployment, a drop in pay – it has lived through all of this. This strain cannot go on any longer.
