"Mr President, I too should like to note that time has not been apportioned rationally. I had a meeting in the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development and votes at the same time and I left the Committee on Agriculture and the votes in order to be present at this time of parliamentary control. You obviously have not allocated the time correctly between the parties to parliamentary control. You have allowed supplementary questions in a very flexible manner. I think that we need to show the Commissioners and Mr Barnier some respect. That is required by parliamentary order. I say this to you, Mr President, for whom I have a great deal of personal respect. You are from the country in which modern parliamentary democracy was born. However, parliamentary democracy has order and rules and principles. I am truly sorry about what has happened this evening. It does no one any honour; it does no honour to Parliament and it does no honour to the Bureau, Mr President."@en1
