lpv:translated text	"I welcome the adoption of this report, which will help when drafting a comprehensive 2015 strategy proposal for information and communications technologies (ICT). I believe that our emergence from the economic crisis depends to a large extent on the proposal’s ability to facilitate the wide-ranging and efficient application of ICT in the business sector. SMEs can act as the catalyst for economic recovery in Europe. In fact, the European Commission must strengthen in future the measures supporting SMEs in the use of ICT tools, with a view to boosting their productivity. I am using my vote today to support the proposal from this report on devising a Digital Plan for promoting online companies, with the primary aim of offering other options to those who have been made redundant recently in the current financial crisis. Such an initiative could be implemented by specifically offering free Internet connection and consultancy."@en1
