"Thank you, Mr Van Rompuy. Thank you for your straightforward reply to the remarks which were made. There were critical remarks, which we all heard. They are necessary in such a discussion. We are talking about a matter of the greatest importance. We are not only talking about how to get out of the crisis or how to help a country – a member of the euro area – which is in trouble, but also about how to develop in the next 10 years. It is, therefore, a key issue. On top of this there are matters relating to climate. So I would like to thank you once again, Mr Van Rompuy, for a quick answer to some of these matters. The task forces will, of course, discuss these issues systematically with the three European institutions, so that we can develop a common strategy. The European Parliament is fully ready for this."@en1
