"Mr President, Mr Lewandowski, Mrs Jędrzejewska, first of all, I would like to congratulate the rapporteur on a splendid report. Of course, the economic situation in the European Union is still not satisfactory, but the report does, in large measure, tell us how to create European added value.
I think giving particular attention to youth in mid- and long-term priorities is an excellent idea for helping to solve our problems. I think maintaining trends related to innovation and the emphasis on digital technology are good examples of the rapid development of the European Union. The support for small and medium-sized enterprises, mainly in the weakest regions, is also interesting.
However, it is also worth emphasising that, on the question of mobility, the policy of investment in the Trans-European Transport Network, and so questions of transport, will arise. I think investing in youth is crucial, and so I would like to express my thanks, and also the thanks of the Committee on Culture and Education, for all efforts whose objective is to support measures relating to investment in young people."@en1
