".
The consequences of the economic and financial downturn are felt most painfully by ordinary EU citizens, therefore the greatest task of today’s EU policy is to halt the rise in unemployment, create more jobs and favourable conditions for economic recovery. The crisis has fundamentally changed Europe’s labour markets, therefore it is imperative to ensure we have the necessary measures so that both workers and companies can adapt more easily to the changing environment. I support this report, since I believe that it is necessary to allocate additional funding to the Progress programme in order to support people in the labour market and to assist small business and its development."@en1
