The association agreement is being negotiated and I believe that it is beneficial to both sides to conclude it as quickly as possible. Election promises must be fulfilled. One of these is respect for the rights of minorities and the removal of the policies on denationalising and assimilating ethnic minorities. Romania can serve as a model for Ukraine when it comes to applying European standards to the situation of minorities. In this respect, the MP representing the Ukrainian community in Romania in the Romanian Parliament can act as a good adviser, and I recommend him to the future president of Ukraine."@en1
