"A few minutes ago, Mrs Anna Záborská mentioned those mega-investments, the various gambling casino investments made by foreigners in Hungary, too, against which György Budaházy, the well-known leader of the extra-parliamentary opposition protested along with 12 members of the so-called Hunnia opposition group who have been under pre-trial detention for almost a year. They are not entitled to know what evidence is brought against them. In addition, due to the quirks of Hungarian regulations and in contravention of the right of ‘habeas corpus’, the judge who keeps extending the pre-trial detention does not take a close look at the incriminating evidence against them. I find it scandalous that something like this can happen in the European Union, and I protest yet again, for the umpteenth time, against this."@en1
