lpv:translated text	"The European Parliament is monitoring the situation in Georgia closely and devoting much attention to the country. European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek met President Saakashvili at the end of October, while at the beginning of November, at a joint meeting of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the delegation for cooperation with Russia and the delegation for cooperation with the South Caucasus countries, Members of the European Parliament discussed the Tagliavini Report on the situation in Georgia and at its extraordinary meeting in Strasbourg on 26 November, Members of the delegation for the South Caucasus met Georgian Government minister, Giorgi Baramidze. We always support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia. We support a peaceful solution to the situation in Georgia and to the conflict between Georgia and Russia. We are pushing for peace observers to have access not only to areas administered by the Georgian Government but also to occupied areas. At the same time, we are pushing for the possibility of delivering humanitarian assistance to these occupied territories as well. We are concerned about the situation of the refugees, who have had to leave their homes under pressure and cannot return to them, and we appreciate the efforts made by the Georgian Government towards securing dignified living conditions for all of the refugees. We call strongly on both parties to the conflict to abide by the ceasefire agreement and to fulfil the undertakings which they made towards a peaceful resolution."@en1
