lpv:spoken text	"I can only agree with the honourable Member. This is exactly the reason why we put forward this regulation. I must say we were amazed by the number of applications received. We were expecting a few hundred and we received 44 000 claims. We consolidated this 44 000 into a group of 4 000, which we submitted to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) for an opinion. That is the reason why EFSA is not in a position to complete the examination of all 4 000 claims within the time limit of December 2010. But I think it is very important for the consumers that we finish this process and that they know exactly when they see a claim, and they see some food in the supermarket with a claim, they will know for sure that this is based on science and is not misleading."@en1
