In Ireland, we have a possible similar situation developing and I hope the European Parliament will explore this issue again. These questions must be fully explored and a watching brief should be maintained by the Parliament in relation to these developments and trends in media ownership in Ireland and across the EU. I also note my disappointment that Fianna Fáil TDs voted against this modest motion on media ownership in Italy."@en1
